“Sharing love through support and experience”
Lakes for Love is an Ohio registered 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization: Our goal is to offer essential support and meet basic needs of families as they begin the process of healing and recovery from many different types of traumatic experiences. Some situations include: Domestic Violence, abuse of a child (physical, sexual, emotional), care wrecks and grief/loss.
Our foundation was born out of a personal experience of perpetrated abuse. The immediate and long term periods following the incident were marked by uncertainty and anxiety. Our ability to recognize the challenges we faced has led us on to help other families who are experiencing trying times as well.

Our Future:
Expand our ability to partner with and provide "Family Connection Kits" to more communities serving agencies in Southwest Ohio.
Continue to provide support, education and growth of programming to assist in reducing the stigma that come with trauma
Obtain consistent financial support through corporate sponsorships and grants
What's Happening:
Our first Connection Kits to be donated
to the Kettering, Oh Police Dept.
The Kettering PD has committed to helping disperse our Connection Kits to the local community when they are called upon by families and individuals facing traumatic events in their lives.
We had a great drop off with CAREHouse for our first month with a lot of discussion and plans for the future.
These ladies are all truly amazing. The director Libby Nicholson is in between my mom and sister and the other two ladies are social workers who manage and complete forensic interviews for the kids coming in with suspected abuse/neglect. There is much more to come with our partnership as time goes on and I can’t wait to help them! They let us know last month they did 106 forensic interviews on children and 18 families just last week alone. Those are such large numbers.
